My Beauty Heroes

For when I don’t #WakeUpLikeThis

by | Apr 21, 2018 | Beauty

Have you ever had those days where you just don’t wake up with that glow? Yes, same! So I’m all over my Slip silk pillowcases, The Super Elixir, daily multis and collagen supplements to help combat the effects of stress, life, jet-lag etc. These babies work wonders, but sometimes you also need those hero products, the kind that give you an instant boost when you need it most.

Enter in a few key favourites that I turn to time and time again for a beauty pick-me-up…

1. Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Daylight
This hydrating formula has become a daytime go-to, it’s the perfect colour and consistency.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Brightening Youth Glow
A lightweight formula which colour-corrects and adds a natural glow.

3. NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer
Honestly this stuff is my life. Dark circles and spots be gone!

4. Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Eye Ink Shadow
These were limited edition, however it’s worth tracking one down. A rich, creamy pigment in a deep black with just a touch of pearl.

5. By Terry Terrybly Mascara
I love the look of a fresh face with just a coat of mascara (remember to curl those lashes first too). Apart from adding volume, length and thickness, this formula also promotes lash growth – It’s the perfect intense black shade too.

6. Dermalogica Skinperfect Primer SPF30
I have a lot of Dermalogica products in my routine, but I love this one for an everyday pick-me-up with the added bonus of sun protection. Most days, I’ll wear this on its own – it has a sheer tint which evens skin tone and instantly brightens up my face.

7. RMS Beauty Luminizer x Quad Palette
The original Living Luminizer has fast become a cult classic, and this cluster of four adds three new shades of shimmering highlighter to the mix. Did I mention it’s all natural and organic?

8. Ouai Wave Spray
I’ve been a longtime fan of this effortless texturising mist, and recently meeting Jen Atkin (the famed hairstylist, and founder of Ouai), has only furthered my dedication to creating that dreamy beach hair everyday. All the products smell amazing too!

9. YSL Tatouage Couture in Black Red Code
This is my new date night lip, the formula glides on so easily, and it has great staying power (good for pasta and a glass of red!). It’s an age-old trick, but there is also something instantly lifting about a pop of red or burgundy, and it makes your teeth look whiter too…

10. Glossier Boy Brow
Let’s be real, I’m obsessed with Glossier – however this product has gone beyond novelty to become an absolute staple of my daily routine. I use the brown shade and stock up whenever I’m visiting the US – here’s hoping Aussie shipping isn’t too far away!
