While it’s too early for most us to even consider dipping our toes into the ocean, watching the swell from the sand can be just as invigorating. With no chance of a swim on the horizon, ankle-grazing hemlines that flutter in the wind prove all the better to embrace the beach when enveloped by oversized knits and mariner coats that adapt soft silhouettes to the elements. Above all, keep layers long—there’s something undeniably chic about languid lines anchored by boots or a winter hat.
