Come Together

Introducing Issue 03 of Badlands Journal

by | Jun 18, 2018 | Style

Hello, and welcome to the third issue of Badlands Journal. Whether you’re relaxing beachside in Europe (lucky you!), or sitting in front of your room heater, working your way through a Southern Hemisphere winter (us) – we hope you enjoy taking a little time out to read our biggest issue yet.

Come Together has been a big collaborative effort, and I couldn’t be prouder of all our amazing contributors who help make the magic happen. There were so many highlights in this issue, it’s hard to name just a few – but shooting Sarah Ellen at historic Lindesay house in Darling Point for our cover was definitely a memorable moment. With picturesque harbour views, beautiful period details and a fairytale garden, it made for a pretty spectacular backdrop. We also loved collaborating with Australian department store, Myer, on their new premium designer labels including Lanvin, Cédric Charlier, Kenzo and Carmen March. Then there was working with the amazing street style photographers Asia Typek and Sandra Semburg to shoot Sabina Socol in Paris, and Anina Heé in London respectively.

Apart from creating some beautiful content with an array of talented teams and individuals, this issue is also about harnessing the power of creativity to bring a little bit of joy, happiness and love into our lives at a time when the world can often feel unjust and chaotic.

We hope you enjoy reading – please send along any thoughts or feedback to journal@badlands.studio and keep checking back for more Badlands content.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
